Musical Theatre Classes for students ages 5-19
2026/2027 SEASON SCHEDULE
Registration for our 2026/2027 Musical Theatre classes is now open.
Classes begin the week of August 17 and run through May 14, 2027. Registration will remain open until early October, or until classes reach capacity, whichever comes first.
Please note: After we cast our spring productions, additional rehearsals outside of regular class time may occasionally be scheduled. The amount of additional rehearsal time varies by class level and production needs, with upper-level classes typically having a greater rehearsal commitment. MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES
All musical theatre students will be able to participate in the Arts and the Heart of Augusta festival in September, and our spring musicals and presentations (dates TBD).
Musical Theatre I
Ages 5-7 Years Old
Thursdays, 5:30pm-6:15pm
Tuition: $68 per/month
Ages 6-8 Years Old
Thursdays, 6:30pm-7:30pm
Tuition: $82 per/month
Production fee of $165 due by Dec 1
This class is an introduction to musical theatre for students ages 5 – 8. Whether your child is just starting or ready for more, they’ll build a foundation in acting, improv, singing, and basic choreography. Students will explore stage presence, vocal projection, character development, and creative expression through games, music, puppetry, and fast-paced theatre activities designed specifically for young performers.
They’ll grow in confidence, communication, and teamwork, while having fun on stage. The class is offered in two formats (45 minutes for ages 5–6 and 60 minutes for ages 6–7), with the same curriculum adjusted for age.
Students will have opportunities to perform at events like the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival in September, and together all MTI students will participate in a Kids Musical in the spring.
Musical Theatre II
Ages 8-10
Mondays, 5:30pm-7:00pm
Ages 9-12 Years Old
Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:00pm
Tuition: $108 per/month
Production fee of $225 due by Dec 1
This class is an introduction to musical theatre for students ages 8–12. Students build skills in acting, improv, singing, choreography, and overall performance technique while gaining confidence, communication, and stage experience.
Younger students focus on creative play and storytelling through theatre games and music, while older students expand into audition prep, character development, and solo and group performance work.
MTII students perform at events like the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival in September and, together with MTIII students, take part in a spring JR musical production.
Musical Theatre III
Ages 11-13
Mondays, 6:30pm-8:00pm
Ages 13-16 Years Old
Tuesdays, 6:30pm-8:00pm
Tuition: $108 per/month
Production fee of $225 due by Dec 1
Students continue training in acting, improv, singing, choreography, and performance technique, with a stronger focus on character development, vocal work, and ensemble storytelling.
Students also work on audition preparation, solo performance skills, and more complex scene and song work as they grow as independent performers and collaborators in a rehearsal setting.
MTIII students perform at events like the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival in September, and our MTII and MTII students will come together to produce a JR musical in the spring.
Musical Theatre IV
Ages 13-17
Thursdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Tuition: $135 per/month
Production fee of $250 due by Dec 1
At this crucial time in their development, this class is for the young, focused, dedicated actors- looking to progress in their acting skills, and ready to take on some more difficult material.
Students will receive training in acting, improv, singing, choreography, plus performance technique through working on material from traditional and modern musicals.
Our MTIV students will have the opportunity to perform in the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival in September, and will join with our Advanced Musical Theatre students and perform a full length musical in the spring.
* Director placement/audition required: This class is only available to students who have been invited to enroll. Experienced performers interested in auditioning for placement should contact the Artistic Director, Mickey Lubeck at 706-231-1759 to schedule an audition.

Advanced Musical Theatre
Ages 14-19
Wednesdays, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Tuition: $135 per/month
Production fee of $250 due by Dec 1
This class is a focused training ground for musical theatre performers with more stage and acting experience, who are wanting to hone their skills and work on more difficult material.
Students receive training in singing, acting, choreography, and performance technique through working on traditional and modern musical theatre material. Work in voice production and projection, physicality, acting skills, choreography, stage presence and more will be addressed.
This class will culminate in a full length Musical Theatre performance in the spring, along with our MTIV students. They will also have the opportunity to perform in the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival in September.

DANCE CLASSES

Jazz Classes
For beginner through intermediate performers. Students will learn jazz technique and musical theatre-style choreography through weekly combo work, while building strength, flexibility, performance quality, and stage presence. Classes may also introduce basic hip hop styles often seen in modern musical theatre choreography.
Tap Classes
For beginner through intermediate performers. Students will learn the fundamentals of tap technique, rhythms, timing, and classic tap steps while building coordination and musicality. Weekly choreography combinations will help dancers apply their skills in a fun, musical theatre-focused setting
